Mission Statement:

• The Florissant Fire Protection District Board is committed to providing leadership, financial accountability, Community Involvement and Fire Department readiness to the citizens of the Florissant Fire District.
• This commitment extends to the volunteers and staff of the Fire Department to insure their safety as they serve the community by insuring that they have the proper PPE and training, well maintained apparatus, and all medical equipment necessary.

Goals:

• Ensure the district's financial stability and sustainability through sound fiscal management and responsible use of resources.
• Maintain open and transparent communication with the community and stakeholders about district operations, activities, and performance.
• Maintain and improve the district's overall response capabilities through ongoing training, education, and equipment upgrades.
• Promote fire prevention and life safety through public education and outreach programs.
• Collaborate with neighboring fire districts and emergency response agencies to provide seamless emergency response and mutual aid support.
• Assist with recruitment of volunteers in all aspects of operations, not just for responders, but also for those who do the many other things to maintain the stations, assist with special events and after fire response support.
• Assist in the development, and retention of highly skilled firefighters and emergency response personnel.
• Improving district operations and services through continuous evaluation and recognition to ensure the highest level of service to the community.
• Provide leadership and advocacy for fire protection, emergency response and wildfire preparedness issues at the local level that encourages community and fire department interaction.
• To operate with integrity, professionalism, and accountability in all aspects of the district's work.
